Goldsworthy Apiaries in Marlborough, New Zealand is a beekeeping consultancy firm that helps and mentors beekeepers, especially those who are just starting out. In addition to providing advice and running apprenticeships, we offer start-up packs to make getting into beekeeping as easy as possible. We also plan to sell high-quality equipment soon.

About
the Owner
Our owner, Matthew Goldsworthy, grew up in Palmerston North and now lives in Blenheim. He has been beekeeping for more than 10 years, starting out by specializing in kiwi fruit pollination and queen production. After moving to the South Island five years ago, he shifted his focus on honey production. He now works as an apiary manager of 7,000 hives.
Matthew left college after studying travel and tourism for two years. Before getting into beekeeping, his original plan was to run tour groups. In hopes of combining his two passions, while keeping his managerial job, he started a consultancy company.
Over the years, his love for the bees has only grown. With Goldsworthy Apiaries, he wanted to show people what he had learned and help anyone interested in bees to get started. Starting the company also allowed him to meet the increasing demand for beekeeping consultants in New Zealand.
